This remains the best place to get oysters in the Clear Lake area. The Tommy's Trio is just perfect. You get 4 oysters Rockefeller, 4 shrimp Au Gratin oysters, and 4 Mexican-style oysters. Each one is amazing, it is even hard to pick a favorite!

The new smoked salmon baked oyster was really good. We're here on a Saturday evening during happy hour. It started to get really busy and very difficult to get drinks. The restaurant is very busy. I found out that if you're not a regular, you will get treated like a bottom feeder, that was easily noted. But the chefs are fantastic!

It was a really busy Saturday night so my parents and I sat at a high top near the bar. We got the oysters rockefeller & we were pretty surprised at how big the oysters were. Dad and I both got the seafood pasta (his favorite) which was well seasoned & not too heavy. I believe my mom got the stuffed shrimp pontchartrain which she enjoyed. We were celebrating mom's birthday so we got a bread pudding to share - so yummy! Service was great and our waiter was very attentive until it seemed like after we finished our entrees then he pretty much disappeared. It took awhile for us to flag down staff to order dessert and then when we were ready for the check, we weren't able to get anyone's attention for like 15-20 min and we had to ask for it twice. It was strange. Otherwise a good experience!

That I have not written about Tommie's before is my oversight. This is one of the best restaurants in and around the Clear Lake, Webster, League City area. The seafood is simply phenomenal. Whether it's oysters on the half shell or tuna tartare, it will not matter. It will be quite reliable. Because I normally sit in the bar area. My service experience has been nothing. Short of absolutely wonderful, and always consistent. The drinks which, in my case are generally martinis, are always made with an impressive selection of gins. The ambience is quite pleasant, very well appointed, clean, and a real pleasure. I've had a number of entrées, all of which are quite reliable, robust and plentiful, and always, always quite good.I would not miss this dining experience and it is certainly worth traveling to in the event you are going back-and-forth to Galveston or in the Clearlake Webster and league city area.

Tommy's is the best seafood restaurant in the greater Clear Lake area. Not only are the food and drinks great, but it also has an upscale atmosphere, but without being stuffy about it. Service is classy and friendly, with helpful interactions and suggestions. I almost always get the grilled snapper with Pontchartrain sauce . The only other place that manages this dish well is Papas Seafood (undeniably a chain, but they know fish), but Papas lacks the atmosphere and service found at Tommy's, and the cocktails are not as good. The tuna served here is also good quality, and we've enjoyed it as both appetizer and entree. We've enjoyed the oysters Rockefeller and the boudain balls, as well as the calamari. We did get a bit of trout on the combo plate that was a bit fishy. We also found the shrimp unpleasantly chemically, as if treated with chlorine to keep fresh, but this seems frustratingly common in Texas; luckily it seems that most others don't notice it, but for us the presence of such shrimp can ruin a whole dish. Overall we highly recommend this restaurant, and my experiences here have always been pleasant. We prefer to be seated in the section to the right as you enter, where it is much quieter and conducive to conversation than to the left.

Been wanting to try this place since as well known in the area. Thank you, Tony, our table house for superb service! Yes, they do get quite packed, we went during lunch. Do yourself a favor and order the fried green tomatoes with crab meat and marinara sauce. It was so good, I had to place another order!!!! My friend really enjoyed the seafood linguine. I was going to order the fried oysters appetizer, but my waiter stated that I can get the entrée with side of vegetables, mask, and corn for the same price as the appetizer!!! Sold!!! Extensive drink menu. They also have a happy hour menu. Vast food menu selections.

Tommy's is a little fancy. Don't be fooled by any Yelp photos. There are white layered table cloths, incredible food and black tie waiters doing 1000%. Our waiter was Jack and he killed it! My family and I are military visiting from Kodiak, Alaska and had dinner here for the first time, mostly because there are no oysters in AK. Everything was impeccable. We had the Oysters Rockefeller, raw, and au gratin, all so mouth watering! We also had appetizers which were all wonderful. The kids had salad, kids chicken and a bowl of gumbo. A little advice from a family from South Louisiana(originally), it was a good try but it tasted like there was lemon juice in it(according to my 13yo). My husband and I have learned to never expect authentic Cajun food outside of Louisiana but my son is still inexperienced. Overall, we'll be back again.
